Sunday Decorating

After I leave AmyLynn off to her work at Tim Horton’s and I get my double, double I began to complete my Christmas decoration out in my front yard. It has taken me longer this year. Being ill for 8 days really slowed me down. Outside already are the  two deers, one a doe and other  with antlers. Yesterday I started putting the lights around the bushes in the larger tree. I checked all the red lights first to make sure they worked. OK all fine. Now I started placing it around the big tree around and around until it was finished. I plugged the light in and suddenly only half worked. Oh hell here we go again. I checked each bulb and they still didn’t work. Off they came. I changed the red to green, checked the and put them on the big tree, plugged them in and wow they all worked, oops two bulbs were dead. OK no problem I just change them right? Wrong. I took two out changed them plugged the in and now one whole line is out. Took that out and changed it for another and finally they all worked. God was I tired. It’s Sunday and I plan on finishing all of them if I don’t have any problems. I said a little prayer and now I start. I’ll let you know tomorrow on how I made out.

Hopefully after today all my lights along with the deers  will work.

For Charlie And Mike.

I wanted to show this tremendous video called

“    Here’s to the Heroes: A Military Tribute “

but unfortunately I was unable to move this video but I kept the words and here they are:

                       Here are the Heroes

                       Those few who dare

                       Heading for glory

                       Living a prayer

                       Here are the Heroes

                       Who change our lives

                       Thanks to the Heroes

                       Freedom survives

                       Here’s to the Heroes

                       Those who never rest

                       They are the chosen

                       We are the blessed

                       Here are the Heroes

                       Who aim so high

                       Here are the heroes

                       Who do or die

Thanks to my friends Charlie, Mike and all those who have fought in all wars for us.

You Made MY Day Charlie.

I received a note on Sarge Charlie’s blog this afternoon that made me laugh a great deal. Charlie and his wonderful wife Bee are  dear friends of mine whom my wife and I met on the Carnival Valor last January on our cruise. They are such warm and friendly people and Charlie is a funny character. He and Bee are true lovers of cruising and I will be lucky enough to see them when I go to my next cruise in January on the Carnival Dream. Here is what Charlie put down on his blog and I don’t think he would be upset if I could put it in my blog. He’s  Christmas for me.

Charlie makes me smile and makes me feel what life is all about. Thanks my friend, you made my day.

Christmas Is Coming.

Today I went outside and put out my reindeer and the large spotlights. Next I place all the outside lights but not yet. It’s amazing how fast the Christmas season has come upon us. I really love this time of the season. All the problems that have been here and knowing that they will not disappear immediately make my heart feel so relaxed. Christmas time is Christmas time. I remember as a child all the fantastic things that we as a family did. Going to my grandparents for Christmas eve dinner, Midnight mass and being an alterboy carry the large candle and of course the beautiful music, coming out of church suddenly having snowflakes falling from the sky and waiting for the next morning opening up our gifts and later on Christmas dinner. I can remember all of this as if it was yesterday. And remember it still in November. I can’t wait until December. How about you?
