Wow it’s going to be very warm today, around 67 degrees. The last couple days have been great, in the middle 60’s. I wish I could enjoy them but unfortunately once again I’m sick again. In a span of 4 weeks I’ve had coughs, sneezes and a totally feeling of yuck.  I called my doctor last week and was told I couldn’t receive my flu shot because I was told I wasn’t at high risk. OK, I asked if I could have the H1N1 shot and she said yes I could have that one so I said what time should I go down and have it? Well she said, we were given 200 shots but unfortunately we’re out. When will you have more and her comment is we are not sure. So……….. I sit here wondering when I’ll be able to get my shots. No one seems to know but being sick again I’d like to know. You’d thinks if all of this is so dangerous they would have enough for everyone. Well I’ll call to make an appointment to see my doctor just to see what I can have that assists me because this doesn’t nor feels like something normal.

Now I enjoy cruising in the Caribbean but in reality I want to enjoy it on a ship not the Empire Stae Building. In reality this is a fantastic ship and I don’t want to knock it down but Oh My God it is monstrous. When I say the largest I mean the largest. Even in the promo it has as its title:

“Oasis Of The Sea” World’s Largest Most Expensive Cruise Ship. That alone would scare me because the cost of going on that ship has to be very costly. First the cost of buiding such a ship,  $1.4 billion, that’s right billion dollars.

At 1,184 feet from stern to stern, it’s nearly as long as the Empire State Building as I wrote earlier. The ship is tall, very tall, 18 decks with a crew of 2000 and guests of nearly 6000 people. They say it will be the greatest cruise ship in the world. If greatest means the biggest, they are correct.There is a list of amenities like a central park the length of a football with 12,000 plants and trees, a boardwalk with two rock-climbing walls, a Broadway musical Hairspray showing 4 times a week and a zipline across the broadwalk

Lets look at it this way. If I want a dive aqua theatre I’ll go to Florida or even to Acapulco, Mexico. If I want to see a Broadway show I’ll go to New York and see the real thing and if I want to surf I’ll go to Hawaii not on a large ship.As far as a zipline, well you get my idea,

Now the shocking thing about this cruise ship since it cost $1.4 billion dollars is if you go on this cruise ship they are not going to give it away for you to go on their ship. The avaerage Oasis ticket is $1ooo per person for seven nights making it signifcantly more expensive than Royal Caribbean’s typical seven night packages. I wonder if it can be a tough sell for those people who would like to go on a cruise with the situation with the money today. I like that this gigantic ship will probable only be for the rich and that’s not me. I belive what Carnival gives is a very fair to allow me to enjoy cruising. My next cruise and probably all of my cruises will be with Carnival Cruise Lnes the fairest and most beautiful ships in the world not the largest. Here is my next ship called the  ” Carnival Dream “. See you on the seas.
